The Notebook Is Being Turned Into A TV Show

You cried at The Notebook, and TV producers saw your tears and realised that you hadn't suffered enough. That is the only reason we can fathom for why they are making the heartbreaking movie following Allie and Noah's love story. The TV show will potentially be developed for CW (home of The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill), so we are definitely expecting some DRAMA!

The CW network suggested that they were considering adapting the movie at the Television Critics Association summer press tour, saying: "the series will follow the romantic journey of the two beloved central characters Noah and Allie, at the outset of their blossoming relationship as they build their lives and their future together against the backdrop of the racial politics, economic inequities, and social mores of post-World War II of the late 1940s in North Carolina."

The original movie (spoiler alert) shows an old Allie suffering from dementia as Noah reads their love story to her in the hopes that it'll come back to her. The flashback story ends with Allie finally agreeing to stay with Noah, so we'd like to think the TV show will be a continuation of their story together. Hopefully with plenty of rain and passionate arguments.

Although the show isn't a done deal just yet, we're already obsessed with speculating who could possibly fill Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams shoes. Like, how would that even be possible?!
