Strictly Come Dancing 2012 to star Paddy and Jodie Marsh?
BBC bosses are reportedly keen to sign My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding star Paddy Doherty and tabloid favourite Jodie Marsh to star in the 2012 series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Hoping to make it the most explosive competition yet, the BBC are looking to enlist 33-year-old Jodie, who recently hit headlines after swapping her career as a glamour model to become a successful bodybuilder.
A source told The Daily Star: “The show was slammed as being boring last time around so bosses are keen to pick people who will make the headlines.
“In Jodie's case it doesn't have to be for the right reasons. She loves the limelight and they reckon she'd be great on the show.”
They are also said to be determined to recruit traveller Paddy, 53, who became a household name after appearing in Channel 4’s My Big Fat Gypsy Weddings.
Paddy's currently filming a new show for Channel 5 in Spain, and while he was there he was given a salsa lesson. Even though they discovered that he had no rhythm, Strictly bosses have still propositioned him to join the show this autumn.
The source added: “He is Mr Two Left Feet. He can't dance to save his life.”
Other stars who look set to join the latest series of the popular ballroom dancing show include news presenter Sian Williams, former England cricket captain Michael Vaughn and TV star Fern Britton.
