Expectant dad Peter Andre will soon be a dad for the third time, as his fiancée Emily MacDonagh due to give birth early in the New Year.
It will be their first child together, and although Pete is eager to meet the latest addition to his family, he’s admitted that he’s secretly praying for a girl.
The 40-year-old reality star already has a son and daughter, Junior, eight, and six-year-old Princess, with ex-wife Katie Price, so he’s not wanting a girl for his own sake.
In fact it’s Peter’s daughter Princess who has demanded that she finally gets a sister, after getting fed up at being the only girl.
As well as Junior, Princess also has two half-brothers Harvey, 11, and 13-week-old Jett, so it looks like she doesn’t have anyone to play tea parties with.
Peter told Now magazine: “Junior is happy either way, but Pringles [Princess] says she won’t be happy if it’s not a girl.
“If it’s a boy, she’s not changing nappies or doing anything. So now I’m like: ‘Please let it be a girl!’”
The Aussie singer has proved to be more than a little excited about the impending new arrival on his reality show My Life.
A recent episode saw Pete and his blooming fiancée shopping for baby clothes in a branch of Mothercare and the doting daddy was lavishing attention on Emily and affectionately rubbing her bump.
The Aussie heartthrob kept excitedly holding tiny items in the air and picking out things for the little one.
They've also been planning the unborn child's nursery together on the show, getting everything ready in time for the arrival in early January.
But while fans of the show are enjoying sharing in their excitement too, Peter has said that this series of My Life will sadly be his last.
Unlike his ex-wife Katie Price, the medicine graduate – who is 17 years younger than Peter – isn’t keen on living her life in front of the camera and so they’ve agreed to call it quits on the reality show after this series.
The Mysterious Girl singer told This Morning: “I am with someone who is a lot more private and even though I am public and I could never ask for privacy here and there - that's wrong, you can't when you're in this industry - you have to also respect the other person.
“But it's not just that, I do honestly think that we've done it and the public have been amazing, and I would hate it for the ratings to start slipping and then I have to stop.”
Peter and Emily announced her pregnancy in July after dating for just over a year, having met through Emily's father, a surgeon, who operated on Peter in 2010 to remove kidney stones.
