It’s been rumoured that Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have been enjoying secret dates together away from the public eye.
It was first suspected that the pair were an item after they were seen dancing pretty closely at an industry party over the summer.
But Jamie has already put a dampener on our excitement by denying that there is anything romantic going on between him and Katie.
We barely had time to come up with a couple’s nickname for them both before he shot down the allegations.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Jamie revealed: “[The rumours] are one hundred percent not true.”
“In fact, it's quite hilarious because we simply danced at a charity event along with a lot of other people.”
Jamie is pretty close to the actress’ ex-husband Tom Cruise after the pair starred together in 2004 film Collateral, so the White House Down star seemed keen to stress that he wouldn’t go there out of respect for his best friend.
Katie, who has primary custody over her seven-year-old daughter Suri with Tom, has not publicly stepped out with another man since her divorce in July 2012.
But that doesn’t mean that other men aren’t interested in dating the leggy brunette.
According to InTouch, in August the Django Unchained actor "grabbed her butt and tried to seal the deal" after they shared a dance, but Katie was "not interested".
The 34-year-old actress was also claimed to have spent time with Jamie in recent weeks at her apartment in Chelsea, New York.
As well as enjoying sleepovers with Jamie at the Trump Soho Hotel while he was filming new movie Annie in New York in September.
But despite all of these rumours, the stars insist their summer rendezvous was completely innocent and deny reports of secret meet-ups and dates.
