Angelina Jolie is beginning to open up more about her double mastectomy; a procedure she revealed she'd had in an op-ed for The New York Times last year. In her Entertainment Weekly interview, the star shares details about life post-surgery, and that she hasn't seen the last of operating tables just yet.
"Wherever I go, usually I run into women and we talk about health issues, women's issues, breast cancer, ovarian cancer," she revealed to the publication. "It makes me feel closer to other people who deal with the same things and have either lost their parents or are considering surgeries or wondering about their children."
Soon after those statements, she dropped the bomb. "There's still another surgery to have, which I haven't yet. I'll get advice from all these wonderful people who I've been talking to, to get through that next stage."
If you thought Angelina had any regrets about her double mastectomy, you were wrong. "I'm very happy I made the decision," she says. "I was very fortunate to have great doctors and very, very fortunate to have a good recovery and a project like 'Unbroken' (the film she is directing) to have something to be really focused on, to be getting healthy or, and to be able to just get right back to work."
All of us here are wishing her the best of health!
