We live in a culture that obsesses, picks and points at a standard of beauty that no-one can achieve. *rolls eyes forever*. But looking at these Photoshopped images from around the globe will make you realise quite how insane our relationship with 'beauty' really is.
Esther sent out a photograph of her own face to be doctored by Photoshop amateurs and experts alike, with one request - "make me beautiful."
The results she got back from countries like Sri Lanka, Kenya, India, Greece and the US show how personal and cultural stereotypes affect the expectations of female beauty.
Esther says on her website:
Photoshop allows us to achieve our unobtainable standards of beauty, but when we compare those standards on a global scale, achieving the ideal remains all the more illusive.
