2. London River Rat Race
A unique 10km aquatic obstacle event, which sees participants run, jump, swim and kayak their way around the course.
The event will be partnering with the charity Shelter to help raise much needed funds for those facing bad housing and homelessness in the capital.
Got what it takes to be a #RatRacer? All you need is your trainers and a sense of adventure and you're good to go.

3. RBC Race for the Kids
The RBC race for the Kids is the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity annual 5k race.
Whether you’re striving for a PB or just looking for a leisurely Sunday stroll, all ages and abilities are welcome to join in the family fun run in the park.

4. Reebok Spartan Race
Like a challenge? Then you’ll love this. Reebok Spartan Race, the world’s leading obstacle race, is challenging Brits to break out of their comfort zone and push themselves to the utter limit. Gulp.
Set to inspire even the most defiant couch potatoes to get off the sofa and Spartan Up, this race offers three options: a 5km ‘sprint’, a 13km ‘super’ and a 20km ‘beast’ course. We don’t even wanna know what that last one entails.

6. Sure Run To The Beat

7. Tough Mudder
Go big or go home! Tough Mudder London will make you earn every single last mile. The 10-12 mile obstacle course is designed to test your physical strength and mental grit on a whole new level.
Survive the rugged terrain, the uphill climbs and the mud-coated madness and you'll forever be remembered as a living, fire-dodging, cage-crawling legend. It'll be the most exhilarating thing you've ever done. That is until you reach the beer and burger part at the end. That's true exhilaration right there.

8. Run or Dye
Inspired by the ancient Hindu festival of Holi or Festival of Colours, Run or Dye celebrates friendship and fun - all while blasting participants with safe, eco-friendly, plant-based dye powder. Count. Us. In.

9. Race For Life 5K
Show cancer that hell hath no fury like a woman in pink, especially a woman running just over 3 miles in pink. Step. Aside.

10. The Sumo Run
London's sumo run is officially putting the fun back into fun-run and what better way to do it than by wobbling your way round a 5K course in giant sumo wrestler suits? For real.
If there's one run you have to do this summer make it an inflatable one. It'll be the best thing you ever do. Good luck trying to pee though!
Sumo Run is organised by and raises money for Link Community Development, a charity improving the access to and the quality of education in sub-Saharan Africa.

11. Subway Helping Hearts
The Subway 5K series, in aid of Heart Research UK, is open to all ages and abilities and offers lots of free entertainment to keep the kids entertained.
From face painting to bouncy castles and whacky inflatables inspired by the Subway menu, it's the perfect day out for the whole famo. Oh, and you'll even get a goody bag + Subway-to-go for all your hard work. Go earn yourself a footlong already.
All the money raised goes towards supporting the Heart Research UK and SUBWAY® Healthy Heart Grants scheme, which funds heart health initiatives in your area.

12. Mucky races 5K & 10K options
Sometimes a girl just needs to get her hands dirty every once in a while (ideally sans the physical demand of a tough mudder. Some of us just aren't beast enough y'know).
This slightly tamer course includes natural obstacles, crawling and wading through mud and water and a few hills but nothing too soul destroying.
The aim is to have fun so leave your cleanliness at the start line!
