Alison Brie's had her hair cut. Gone are the long, conservative locks of Community's Annie Edison and Mad Men's Trudy Campbell. Yes, this new 'do marks a turning point for Brie whose fresh shag cut wouldn't fly for her most well-known characters.
The soon-to-be Mrs Franco went for the chop with renowned stylist to the stars Ashley Streicher, who has also worked with Emma Stone, Lea Michele and Olivia Palermo - basically the ladies with the loveliest hair, so we're confident when we say she was in safe hands. Here she is pre-trim:

Perfect for summer - and even more perfect for covering up any eyebrow disasters - the main features of a shag are a messy fringe and an even messier curl. Typically a bob cut, the short length of this 70s-inspired style is great in encouraging a curl, but, as model Mica Arganaraz has shown us, a shag can also drop to shoulder length, too. Either way, you're going to want to get familiar with this old-school style because at some point in 2017 you're gonna be taking a picture of one into your hairdressers.
