When Topshop opened its doors to America in 2009 fashion fans must have been falling over themselves to call first dibs on the best of British buys.
But now the rumour mill says high street store Miss Selfridge, owned by Sir Phillip Green’s retail giant Arcadia, is set to make the journey across the pond too.
The retailer is currently in talks with American department store Macy’s and Nordstrom about housing the brand.
Only two weeks ago Beyonce was pictured getting her stripy separates on courtesy of Topshop and we all know Olivia Palermo wouldn’t be seen on the front row without her high street staples, so we think Miss Selfridge is set to take celeb land by storm.
With Rihanna and her River Island line and the Kardashians with their Dorothy Perkins collection it seems the A-listers just can’t get enough of British brand collaborations.
So what can we expect from a stateside Miss Selfridge? We’re thinking it’s going to have all its trademark petite dresses, fail-safe maxis and plenty of embellishment - a Miss Selfridge must.
