You may not recognise the teeny tiny future queen in this picture, but fourth from the left she stands, in a matching miniature crown, next to her mother Queen Elizabeth (the original Liz!) from whom she would take over the reign of Britain in 1952, aged just 26.
1945
In 1945 aged 18, Elizabeth joined the Women's Auxilliary Territorial Army as a subaltern - the equivalent of a lieutenant by today's standards. She trained as a driver and mechanic during her time in the army, and she looked totally badass in her uniform.
1949
Nothin' to see here. Just Elizabeth and Philip, looking stylish and gazing at each other with major heart eyes. Swoon. Just swoon.
1951
This picture, thought to be from around 1951, shows the beautiful Queen and dashingly handsome Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh with a teeny tiny Prince Charles and Princess Anne. Liz and Phil's love story is a sweet one; Elizabeth fell in love with Philip when they met age 13, and later chose to marry him against her family's wishes. Philip still stands lovingly and loyally by her side to this day. Major relationship goals.

Queen Elizabeth inspects the Queen's Own Nigeria Regiment, Royal West African Frontier Force, during her Commonwealth tour in 1956, wearing a dress that we'd all wish was in our possession stat! Still stylish, even today - kudos, Queenie.
1969
Queen Elizabeth arrives at King's Cross station in 1969 with her infamous Corgis in tow. The Queen is known for her love of Corgis and they have been a constant companion to her throughout her life. They're the perfect accessory to any outfit, right?
1992
The Queen started her love affair with pastel colours later in life. Baby blue, easter yellow, soft green - you name it, she has a hat in that colour. Here she looks pretty in pink during a trip to Paris in 1992.
2015
