The Pride of Britain Awards is a great night out for the likes of Philip Schofield, Carol Vorderman, Peter Jones and Amanda Holden - the British names and faces we've come to accept as part of our national identity. But aside from admiring these TV stars, the awards are all about celebrating the real British heroes whose stories and achievements might otherwise go unheard.
As a must-do date in the diaries of many a celeb, it's no surprise that most turned up looking all kinds of red carpet ready. With the Girls Aloud ladies, The Saturdays and some of our fave adopted Americans (Nicole Sherzinger and Ashley Roberts) we were spoilt for choice with fabulous frocks aplenty.
Check out these celebs who did Britain proud with their gorgeous garb:
Special mention should go to Carol Vorderman whose hourglass curves were styled to perfection in a champagne silk frock designed by Caroline Castigliano. Nicole Scherzinger also looked sensational in a dark grey velvet dress that clung in all the right places.
We were impressed with Myleene's brave leopard print slash dress from Littlewoods no less, and Kimberley Walsh's whiter than white floor length number which she teamed with a black clutch.
Pixie Lott looked every inch the ethereal pop princess in her angelic white mesh dress and Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts dazzled in top to toe gold with a low cut back.
The Saturday's got our vote for best dressed though with each one of the girls upping the glamour stakes. Mollie King went edgy in a black mesh dress, while Vanessa White played it safe in a LBD. New mummy Rochelle Humes showed off her enviable figure in an embellished body con and Una Healy added a fashion forward twist in a flowing dress with a graphic print.
