Cameron Diaz has landed a leading role - but this time round it's not the rom-com type.
The 40-year-old has just been named as the creative director of US footwear label Pour La Victoire. Now that's one Stateside celeb collaboration worth celebrating.
Forget posing in front of the cameras and parading down the catwalk, Miss Diaz will be contributing designs for forthcoming collections and trying her hand at merchandising, marketing and advertising.
Speaking of her new role in an interview with WWD, Cam said: "I don't do endorsements really. This is completely different... I love fashion.
"It's a large part of my life. What I wear is looked at. It influences what other people wear because that's just the world we live in."
The collaboration with PLV marks Cameron's first serious break into the fashion industry - and what a way to start this style venture.
Something tells us she'll have no problems settling into her new role and we're so excited to see what Diaz the designer has to offer.
Her first collection is set to land in spring 2014 and with plans bubbling away for a Christmas campaign named Cameron's Picks, we think we're in for a corker.
Here's hoping for a capsule collection! What do you think of Cameron's fashion role? Tweet us @sofeminineuk
