Trend alert: Animal print we love
But it's not just the catwalk that has got us inspired to go for animal prints, we can't help it - but the uber-glam TOWIE girls have got us coveting their OTT style - and that means leopard print in abundance.
We're not the only ones either as fashion site StyleCompare.co.uk has noted sales of leopard print slippers have skyrocketed by 950% and their faux fur leopard print coat is already a best-seller for the season.
We've already invested in these naughty leopard print leggings, £20, perfect for teaming with some micro stilettos and a black top - boys beware.
The buck doesn’t just stop with leopard print garments. All manner of faux furry mantles, from snake skin, to zebra and crocodile have also seen a boost on their site since the show hit our screens.
Johanna Payton, head of fashion at StyleCompare.co.uk commented: “The TOWIE stars may be unlikely fashion icons, but they are admired by women across the country. Their look is very brash but it’s a look you can emulate without spending too much money. Fans of the show are going crazy for classic TOWIE styles like leopard print and mini bodycon dresses, and affordable brands like Love and Lipsy are booming at Style Compare.”
“The TOWIE girls have made fashion a huge part of the show’s storyline by opening their own boutiques and clothing lines, and their entrepreneurial attitude is a great thing for the viewers to aspire to.
"The fake tans and cosmetic surgery might make some viewers turn off, but dressing with attitude is something many women are up for copying and we expect the trend to grow in the run up to Christmas when it’s more acceptable to leave the house in head-to-toe leopard print and killer heels.”
We're not sure we'll be going top to toe leopard print, but a flash here and there shows off the beast within.
