Jessie J is the go-to girl for hairspiration and strong makeup looks which is why QVC have crowned her the most confident beauty icon.
The poll, carried out by QVC, questioned a thousand British women and revealed Jessie J as the beauty icon who best represents confidence. If we knew how she got it we'd bottle it and sell it.
She’s recognised for her strong makeup look with her iconic porcelain skin, bold lips and colourful eye make-up so it’s no wonder she’s seen as the queen of body confidence.
QVC also revealed that rather than a Katy Perry waist, Whitney Port pins or a toned Rihanna tum, 65 percent of women said confidence above any other trait was top of their wish list.
Despite being named the most confident when it comes to putting her face on, 77 percent of the women asked admitted they wouldn’t have the courage to pull-off Jessie's look. Instead 45 per cent would go for a more natural look a la Kate Middleton.
The key really is confidence - especially when it comes to those all-important dates, job interviews and a night out with friends, and the poll claims make-up is our must-have confidence-boosting tool in all of these situations.
QVC psychologist Dr. Bijal Chheda-Varma, explains, “Make-up choice can greatly influence how a woman wants to be perceived by others around her as well as how she feels about her self-confidence. Make-up has been used for centuries to help women enhance aspects of their persona, yet the study shows how many women don’t have the courage or knowledge of how to create a confident look.”
As for our fave beauty-boosters, bronzed skin, bold brows, blushed cheeks and that one swipe red lippy life saver were voted the top beauty heroes.
Sure, makeup helps us get over those tired days but even Jessie J’s been known to go bare-face in the name of inner beauty and you can't put a Price Tag on that!
