The average cost of a UK wedding these days is an eye-watering £30,000 but while most bride and grooms-to-be do everything they can to save precious pennies by calling on favours of friends etc., the word 'budget' was distinctly missing from this mega-rich couple's wedding planning.
Entrepreneur and Nigerian oil heir Folarin Alakija married his model girlfriend Nazanin Jafarian Ghaissarifar at the weekend in a ceremony and celebration that looked as though it was ripped straight out of a fairytale storybook. Money is clearly no object for the newly-married pair as their Instagrammable nuptials set them back a jaw-dropping £5 million pounds. If you're wondering what the hell £5 million buys you, you'll be pleased to know the florist - who is no less than the artistic director at the Four Seasons - and some lucky guests have since shared snippets of the epic day on their Instagram accounts.
Jeff Leatham was enlisted by Folarin and Nazanin to transform Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire into a white wedding wonderland, with the help of one million white roses. Just look at this room!
If that wasn't enough to induce envy in your every pore, the fact the couple picked out a 12ft cake, chose Robin Thicke to serenade guests, served up a five-course menu which included foie gras and ended the night with an epic firework display just might.
Feast your eyes on this lot:
Among guests was Victoria's Secret model Shanina Shaik who looked stunning in a mustard, silk, maxi dress by Galvan London.
If the wedding was a cool £5 million, can you even imagine what the honeymoon's going to be like?
