Tris Prior - Divergent
Tris may not have been born a fighter, but she is certainly thrust into a world of chaos when she chooses to be a member of the fearless faction, Dauntless. With the help of her dreamy instructor, Four, she learns how to defend herself and stand her ground.
Katniss Everdeen - Hunger Games
Katniss may have been forced to fight not once but twice in the arena of death, but she has always been a true master of the bow and arrow. If only she could use hunting skills to figure out her romantic life...
Natasha Romanoff - The Avengers
Women are seriously outnumbered on the superhero front, so thank you Scarlett Johansson for being one heroine that we won't forget anytime soon! Black Widow can take on a gang of Russian thugs or an army of killer aliens, not only keeping up with the guys but beating them at their own game.
Charlie's Angels
The Charlie's Angels films may be goofy and campy, but there's no denying these ladies can throw down. They use their feminine wiles to get themselves out of tough situations, but when the going gets rough, they aren't afraid to throw some punches.
Victoria - Red
Who said you have to be young to be totally badass? Helen Mirren adds a bit of comedy and action to her illustrious acting career by playing an ex-MI6 operative. No guys want to mess with her!
Gracie Hart - Miss Congeniality
This movie proves that you can be attractive (and wear heels and an evening gown) and still take down the bad guy. Our fave part? When Gracie's pageant talent is practicing some self-defense moves on her unsuspecting partner.
Mystique - X-Men
It takes a special woman to walk around naked and still fight like a pro. Mystique is sexy, cunning, and very, very flexible. When her powers of camouflage don't get the job done, she can fight her way out of any situation. Not to mention, when her partner in crime, Magneto, betrays her, she doesn't get mad, she gets very even.
Lara Croft - Tomb Raider
Angelina Jolie didn't just take on rock monsters in this film, but a killer robot and grave-robbing mercenaries. Oh, and a man hell-bent on traveling through time. It seems she can survive nearly anything, even a jump off a hundred foot waterfall. Well done, girl!
Elizabeth Swan - Pirates of the Caribbean
Though Elizabeth spends most of the first two films in the hit Pirates of the Caribbean franchise whining and letting men save her, by the third, she is truly a force to be reckoned with. After learning some swordplay, she jumps into the fight to save the world and even becomes Queen of the Pirates.
Catwoman - The Dark Knight Rises
Selena Kyle is so much more than a pretty face. She is a flawless liar and a very flexible cat burglar. But in the end, she shows her true colors by helping Bruce save Gotham, all while running around in high-heeled boots.
