On Sunday Virginia McLaurin visited the White House for the first time in her life. She is 106-years-old, and compared to even the liveliest of people, she was pretty damn excited. Two years ago when Virginia was 104, she was honoured for the 40 hours of volunteering work she was doing each week with students who had severe mental and physical disabilities, and she told NBC Washington News that her wish was to visit Barack Obama at the White House.
Virginia was invited to visit the Obamas at the White House on Sunday to celebrate Black History Month. She told the Barack and Michelle: "I thought I would never live to get in the White House. I am so happy! A black president, a black wife. And I am here to celebrate black history."
As she danced her way over to the Obamas, Michelle asked her what her secret was to still dancing at 106. "Just keep movin'!" She replied, showing them exactly how to do it. Check out the video below.
Along with meeting Virginia, Prez Obamz also hosted a reception at the White House in recognition of Black History Month, during which someone interrupted him to shout "Hey Michelle!" to FLOTUS. He then jokes, "You know it's Black History Month when you hear someone say Hey Michelle! Giiiirrrl! You look so good!"
If there's one thing you can say about Barack Obama, it's that he knows how to entertain a room. Can't we keep him as President forever? Please?!
What do you think of Obama's meeting with Virginia? Cute, right? Let us know! @sofeminineUK
