In case you've been knuckling down for a transfiguration exam or practicing the dark arts, you might have missed the recent hubbub about Harry Potter-themed makeup. First there was the HP eyeshadow palettes, mocked up by a Reddit user, complete with Hogwarts house colour schemes. But alas, so far it remains just a pipe dream, and something that we can't stop thinking about.
But praise the lord hallelujah, because some beautiful souls - three beautiful souls, to be exact, in the form of identical triplets Erin, Mandy and Missy Maynard, have created some Harry Potter-themed beauty products that are real! You can even pre-order them. Yes, their indie beauty line Storybook Cosmetics combines the two things we love most in the world: great stories and great makeup. They even have an idea drawn up for a Mean Girls eyeshadow palette shaped like the burn book on Instagram! But nothing gets us as jazzed as their new range of Harry Potter makeup brushes. The handle of each brush is shaped like a different wand from the films, and includes an eyeshadow brush and blending brush.
The brush set is priced at $55, and due to massive popularity is currently sold out - major sadface. But keep your fingers crossed (and perhaps summon a little accio spell) and maybe, just maybe, they'll be back in stock in time for Christmas.
