Whether she's playing a soccer star in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants or a New York socialite in Gossip Girl, Blake Lively can't help but be glamorous. That hair, that body, those legs - the girl's a knockout! It's no surprise that L'Oreal chose her as their newest ambassador.
And despite the fact that she's also the face of Gucci's Premier fragrance, is married to one of the most handsome men on the planet, and is BFF with Karl Lagerfeld - there is still something about her that makes her seem genuinely down-to-earth.
As well as fronting L'Oreal's new campaigns, Blake is also slated to star in the 2014 movie The Age of Adeline, a story that spans the 1900s following a woman who stops aging at 29. (Dream come true, anyone?)
In addition, she revealed last month in an interview with Vogue UK that she's working on a top secret project all about "living a very one-of-a-kind, curated life". Hmm. Colour us curious!
It seems like now is a very good time to be Blake Lively.
We think Blake's the perfect choice for L'Oreal - her hair is always blown out to perfection and her make-up is never less than gorgeous. We can't wait to see the ads which will start appearing in 2014 - but for a sneak peek of the first campaign shots just look here - what a stunner!
L'Oreal representatives said Blake "embodies all the modern codes of Hollywood glamour. She is flashing a substantial swath of upper elegance and sensuality".
The company's global president, Cyril Chapuy, went on to say, “[she's] a beauty icon for a whole generation with her gorgeous gold-dipped hair, luminous gaze, and drop dead smile. This strong, charismatic, and definitely glowing actress is joining the L'Oréal Paris family. And we're so proud to welcome her."
And in joining the family, she'll be in the company of Beyoncé, Eva Longoria, Freida, Jennifer Lopez, and the many more beauties that came before her.
Blake claims she's long been loyal to the brand, saying, "I grew up with the inspiration of their message; 'We're worth it.' What an important value to instill in women. That beauty is rooted in confidence. That is key. That is why I'm so proud to be a L'Oréal Paris woman.”
Congrats to the blonde bombshell! We can't wait to see the new campaign.
