This season, Fashion East showcased the talents of Nasir Mazhar, Heikki Salonen and Michael Van der Ham:
Milliner Mazhar, who has designed headgear for Madonna and Lady Gaga, had his catwalk debut at the Fashion East show at this year's LFW.
Mazhar sent models down the catwalk in towering headwear made from black leather. In a mish-mash of style, colour and pattern, the collection included leopard prints, shocking pink artificial hair, black organza and rubber bonnets, and red-felt helmets embellished with gold spikes.
Salonen made his second appearance with Fashion East, presenting a grungy militant look with a distinct tomboy feel to it. Puffa jackets, masculine tailored coats and round sunglasses gave way to long, straight maxi dresses. The colour palette was mostly black, with some hints of green and red.
Van Der Ham, also showing at Fashion East for a second time, continued his technique of collaging pieces of fabric together. Patchworked knitwear, mixed with Liberty floral prints and wool alongside ultra feminine, 20s and 80s-inspired dresses.
Crazy but that's what we love about them! Long live Fashion East.
