Meanwhile, Cain is stunned to learn about Laurel and doesn’t mince his words when he tells Marlon not waste his life on her. Laurel is horrified to learn social services are getting involved but Marlon is too angry to comfort her. Laurel is horrified when Marlon calls her an alcoholic and snaps, hitting him hard across the face. Will her actions force her to get help? Meanwhile, Paddy worries for Leo suggesting they keep him away from Marlon and Laurel, but will Rhona agree?
Kerry insists Dan needs to stay behind so he can support Sean financially but his heart breaks at the thought of losing Amelia who will leave with Ali and Ruby. Dan is devastated about telling Amelia he isn't going with them. Ruby explains the move to Rachel, leaving her hurt Ali never told her. Soon Rachel is on the warpath as Dan’s heart breaks.
