With Mick and Linda on holiday, Stan tells his family he’s taking them all to the dogs for the evening but is left infuriated by their reaction and decides to invite Cora. Back home, the day takes a turn for Stan when he collapses and loses the feeling in his legs. Over the Square, Shirley hears the commotion and runs out to find Stan being carried in to an ambulance. An angry Stan refuses to let his family go in the ambulance and asks for the money he leant to Dean back. Stan asks Cora to go with him but is left upset when she refuses. At the hospital, the Carters continue to bicker until Stan reveals some devastating news …
Martin reveals to Sonia that Ian has asked him to look after Cindy following last week’s events and Rebecca is coming to stay too. Sonia isn’t happy, especially when Martin tells her Rebecca doesn’t want to see her, but she is cut short when Martin receives a call and asks her to leave. Later on, Sonia returns to visit her daughter but is left in shock when Rebecca arrives dressed as a Goth.
A heartbroken Shabnam refuses to answer Kush’s calls and turns to Masood for help. After Masood warns Kush to back off, he reveals to Shabnam he has a meeting about buying the Argee Bhajee, much to Shabnam’s surprise. On his way to the meeting, Masood bumps into Patrick and is asked to go to the bookies to bet on the races. When the meeting doesn’t go well, a disappointed Masood decides to take a risk …
