Tensions are high in Albert Square when Cindy is missing and Ian starts to break down telling Jane. Desperate, Ian and Martin search for Cindy but it all becomes too much for Ian. With his world spiralling, Ian heads to the police station but as he arrives, he is relieved to find Cindy outside. Back home, Jane demands to be alone with Cindy and is relieved to hear Cindy wasn’t hurt in any way. Ian overhears their conversation and desperately tries to make amends but Cindy is adamant they don’t really care about her and she leaves. Liam encourages Cindy to return home but what will she decide? The journalist who slandered Lucy at the press conference arrives and tells Ian the police have a new witness in Lucy’s murder case.
Mick confronts Lee and Nancy about their earlier scuffle but Lee covers and assures Mick and Linda everything is okay. However whilst helping with the search for Cindy, Whitney realises all is not right and after some encouragement, Lee opens up about his troubles. As the pair talk, Lee tells Whitney he’s scared to see a doctor – he doesn’t want to lose his job.
Meanwhile, Stacey and Martin continue to discuss their future together but they are interrupted by Ian.
