It’s Vincent’s birthday and Kim has a rather odd present for him. Vincent receives a call from Pike, his police contact. After a successful party, Kim finds an unopened present and is horrified by the contents.
Meanwhile, Denise is surprised when Libby arrives but is frustrated when she realises Patrick asked her to come and talk to her about Kim. At the café, the pair have a heart-to-heart. After some encouragement, Denise agrees to go the party and make amends with Kim.
With Ben on her mind, Kathy confronts Phil about the way he has brought him up but gets more than she bargained for when Ben and Abi hear her talking about his sexuality. Kathy shares her fears with Jane and wonders if she’s lost Ben for good but Jane agrees to stand by Kathy and help her.
