As the residents prepare for the half marathon, Ben is disappointed to learn Phil is refusing to go to his support meeting. Meanwhile, Ian fears Kathy is falling for Phil once more and warns him to stay away from her. At The Vic, a drunken Phil attempts to kiss Kathy. With the rest of the family turning their backs on Phil, Louise realises it’s up to her to help him and she confronts him about why he is drinking.
Desperate to make amends with Sonia, Tina decides to join the half marathon so they can talk but is soon forced to stop after hurting her leg. An annoyed Sonia stops to help and the pair have a heated discussion. Elsewhere, Tamwar learns of Nancy’s plansto go to Italy and desperately tries to convince her to stay.
