It's always awkward when you don't like your best friend’s boyfriend and it sounds like that's exactly what's going on with Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez.
Selena, 20, has recently reunited with her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber and her protective friend Taylor is less than impressed.
The girlfriends were sat side by side at the Billboard Awards, but behind the scenes Taylor had to step away from her BFF when she went to kiss the Canadian pop star.
A clip of the I Knew You Were Trouble singer pulling a face at the sight of the couple kissing quickly went viral.
Taylor, 23, has since spoken to Us Weekly and when asked about 19-year-old Justin beating her to the Milestone Award at the Billboards, she reportedly responded: "Can we have another question?"
Harry Styles' ex was seen whispering with Selena as Justin accepted his award - for which he was booed.
When asked what the two were talking about, Taylor told Access Hollywood (while shaking her head and looking down at the floor): "You do not want to open that can of worms. Especially tonight."
It had been thought that Justin and Selena were all set to go public with their relationship again, but this has clearly been put on hold.
They were also apparently intending to sit next to one another at the award ceremony, with Selena sat between Taylor and Justin.
This obviously didn't happen - Justin was across the aisle - and we're guessing Taylor was pretty pleased with the arrangement.
Despite the best-friend-boyfriend drama, Taylor had a rather good night. She took home eight awards, including Artist Of The Year.
When she accepted her prize she told her fans: "My relationship with my fans is the longest and best I have ever had!"
Safe to assume Taylor would not have taken Justin back if she were Selena...
