Kate Middleton and her huge baby bump were the centre of attention at the royal garden party yesterday.
The heavily pregnant Duchess chatted to crowds at Buckingham Palace's annual event, which she attended for the second year running without husband Prince William.
RAF Search and Rescue helicopter pilot Wills was unfortunately tied up with other engagements, but Kate didn't seem to mind as she socialised with guests at the event.
The Queen hosts a tea for 8,000 members of the public as a way of thanking those who have contributed to public life or their local community.
Kate, 31, spent the day with her father-in-law Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, as well as the special attendees.
Marie Curie nurse Susan Bradley said of the Duchess afterwards: "She instantly recognised my uniform and the daffodil in my lapel and told me that she had great admiration for the work the charity does as our staff cared for her own grandfather in his home when he was terminally ill.”
And Juliet Rogers chatted to Kate about the effect the weather is having on her pregnancy.
Juliet revealed: "She said that the one benefit of the weather was that it was keeping her temperature down. She said she was thankfully rather cool."
Kate looked effortlessly chic at the summer do, bringing sunshine to the event in a gorgeous yellow Emilia Wickstead round-neck coat, which perfectly skimmed her bump.
She completed her look with a cream Jane Corbett hat, pearl drop earrings and nude heels.
Her hair looked gorgeous in loose curls and partly tied back in a half-bun style.
Though she's famed for favouring high street items, Kate's yellow silk coat - described on the website as "elegant and classic with a hint of playfulness" - was worth £1,285.
Kate looked happy and comfortable at the event, despite being less than two months away from giving birth.
Just a few weeks ago it was claimed that Kate's exact due date was 13th July after she and Wills, 30, were apparently overheard discussing their new arrival.
But a spokesperson for the Palace has refused to give any further details and told the Mail there would be no specific date given.
They said: "We have only said that the Duchess is due in July. Anything further would be speculation."
